Steelcase Sales Sample Program Terms and Conditions
Introduction These Terms and Conditions govern the rental of demo product under the Steelcase Sales Sample Program. By participating in this program, you agree to comply with these terms.
Eligibility The program is available to authorized Steelcase dealers, Portfolio dealers, and their sales representatives/independent selling groups. Participants must be in good standing with Steelcase.
Rental Period The rental period for each individual sales sample product is 2 weeks, and vignettes 3 weeks, from the date of delivery. Vignettes are booked with 1 week of padding on either side of the rental for inbound and outbound transit time. Extensions may be granted upon request and approval by the Steelcase Sales Samples team (salessamples@steelcase.com).
Usage Restrictions
Furniture rented under this program is intended for sit tests, A&D engagements, brand events, or other similar reasons to drive engagement and sales with Steelcase and Ancillary product.
Individual product samples are limited to an order quantity of eight, and vignettes at an order quantity of two. Additional products may be granted upon request and approval.
The furniture must not be resold, subleased, or used for any purpose other than as a sales sample.
The furniture must be maintained in good condition and used in accordance with Steelcase's guidelines.
Ownership and Return
Steelcase retains ownership of all rented furniture.|
At the end of the rental period, the furniture must be returned to Steelcase in good condition. Keeping all original packaging is essential to protecting the products from rough handling and maintaining our inventory.
The Steelcase Sales Sample Program covers all inbound and outbound transportation costs. We do not cover the cost of installation or transportation between regional locations; this is the responsibility of the Steelcase sales region or dealer depending on the agreement between the two parties.
Damage and Loss
If you notice a product is damaged when you receive it, please email salessamples@steelcase.com with a picture and description of the damage.
If any ordered products, including shipping crates, are damaged in market due to misuse or damaged in return due to poor packaging:
Steelcase sales - The cost center submitted with the order will be charged for the cost of all damages
Dealers and Independent Selling Groups - Steelcase Sales Sample program will reach out to collect charges for the cost of all damages
We understand that some damage may occur in transit, even when products are packed correctly, and will not charge cost centers or dealers in these instances of normal wear and tear or clear transportation carrier rough handling.
Liability Steelcase is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of the rented furniture. Participants agree to indemnify and hold Steelcase harmless from any claims or liabilities resulting from their use of the furniture.
Termination Steelcase reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement at any time if the participant fails to comply with these terms and conditions.
Amendments Steelcase may amend these terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes, and continued participation in the program constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
Governing Law These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the state in which the participant is located.
